Knee pain when twisting the knee or getting into a deep kneeling position may indicate an issue with your meniscus. The good news is that you probably don’t need surgery! If you can fully straighten the knee and it doesn’t lock or get caught when bending it, you will achieve a great outcome from physiotherapy. The main things we focus on are settling the symptoms with hands-on techniques and avoiding specific moves during your training, improving strength and control, and working with your coaches to fix up any technique errors that increase the risk of injury.
